White Storks in the familiar V formation.
I’ll admit to not being much of a bird watcher. I don’t generally look for them but once in a while one will catch my attention. On our trip to South Africa we couldn’t help but notice hundreds of different species.

The Lilac-breasted Roller, one of the many colorful birds of South Africa.
Some were colorful…

Egyptian Geese on the pond at Pilanesberg.
Some were water birds…

An ostrich crosses a dirt road at Ukutula
Some were flightless…

The Hornbill is one of the more striking birds
Some looked neat…

The Bulbul is a vocal insect eater.
And some were rather talkative.
These are just a few of the pictures we caught of them while photographing other animals. One could probably spend a lifetime on birding safaris in South Africa alone.
I love seeing those bird formations when I look up at the sky 🙂
Always kinda worried one will poo on me though lol
I know what you mean. At least they were not directly overhead.
Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing!
